The Bean Counter is a about the Official of a jelly bean counting competition. It is a character comedy about a ‘jobsworth’ who uses some unusual counting methods to count how many beans are in a jar.
The show is highly improvisatory and can be adapted to suit a range of audiences and settings- including cabaret style, evening events, children’s events and ‘club’ pop ups.
The show began as a scratch at the Clown Cabaret Scratch Night at the Assembly Roxy 2015 and has since been performed in a variety of settings including at the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival Opening Weekend 2017, On the Edge Festival at Birmingham Rep 2016, Babaró Children’s Theatre Festival 2017 in Galway, and Imaginate Scratch Night 2016.
